FAQ

The things we get asked most. If yours isn't here, message us — we answer everything.

Tattoos

Do I need an appointment?

For anything custom, yes. Every piece is drawn for you, so we book after a consult. Walk-ins are welcome Thursday to Sunday for small work if a chair is free — ring ahead on [PHONE] so you're not standing around.

How much will my tattoo cost?

Our day rate is [$X,XXX] and most single sessions land between [$XXX] and [$XXX] depending on size, placement and detail. We'll give you a real number at your consult rather than a guess over email — quoting a back piece off a text message doesn't do either of us any favours.

Minimum charge is [$XXX], which covers setup, sterile equipment and the artist's time even on something tiny.

How do deposits work?

A [$XXX] deposit locks your date and comes off the final price. It's transferable once if you give us at least 48 hours notice. If you no-show, or move the date twice, the deposit stays with the artist — they've already turned other work away and drawn your design.

What happens at a consult?

Fifteen to thirty minutes, free, no obligation. Bring reference images and a rough idea of size and placement. We'll talk about what will and won't age well, map it to your body, give you a quote and book the session if you're happy.

Can you cover up or rework an old tattoo?

Usually. Send a clear, well-lit photo of the existing piece before you book. We'll tell you honestly whether it's a straight cover-up, a rework, or whether you'd get a better result with a few laser sessions first.

How long will it take?

A small simple piece is often under two hours. Sleeves and back pieces are multi-session projects — expect several sittings spaced three to four weeks apart so each stage heals properly.

Does it hurt?

Yes, but it's manageable and everyone's different. Ribs, sternum, hands, feet and the inside of the arm are the sharper spots. Eat properly beforehand, stay hydrated, and tell your artist when you need a break — nobody is impressed by sitting through it silently.

What's your age policy?

18+ with photo ID. No exceptions, no parental consent workaround. Bring the ID on the day even if we already know you — it's a legal requirement, not us being difficult.

Is there anything that would stop you tattooing me?

We can't tattoo you if you're pregnant or breastfeeding, intoxicated, or have been drinking that day. Tell us in advance if you have a bleeding disorder, take blood thinners, are diabetic, have a heart condition, or have skin conditions like psoriasis or eczema in the area — most of these are workable with a bit of planning, but we need to know first.

Can I bring someone with me?

One person, yes. Any more and the studio gets crowded. Please don't bring children.

Merch

How do your sizes run?

Everything is cut boxy with dropped shoulders. If you want a regular fit, size down. Every product page has a measurement table — measure a shirt you already like and compare, it's more reliable than guessing.

When's the next drop?

Seasonally, and we don't reprint sold-out colourways. The newsletter and our Instagram are the only places we announce them, usually a few days ahead.

Can I try things on in the shop?

Yes — we keep most sizes on the rack. Come in Thursday to Sunday, 12–7pm.
